Child Hunger

Hello everyone,
I pray everyone is having a wonderful Easter Sunday! Remember the true reason we celebrate this day. God sent his only son Jesus, to die on a cross for our sins, so that we might be saved. On the third day he arose from the grave! Death could NOT hold him! AMEN!!

I wanted to share something with you that is very close and dear to mine and my husbands heart. America has nearly 17 million (as of 2011) children that are food insecure every day. Think about how many more children go without a meal now just two years later. So many children are born into poverty here in the US.
I am not trying to discriminate against helping starving children in other countries, actually I think anything we can do to help is great! I am simply saying we need to step up and take care of our country! Let's work together and feed the children of America. But what if I don't have money to donate you might ask? Well, I'm not asking you to donate. Well then how can I help you might ask? You can help children by simply watching for codes on items you already buy. ConAgra Foods Foundation has made a way we can all help. You might already buy some of these popular brands so please I urge you to watch your boxes / packages for codes. 1 code = 1 meal.  Here is the list of brands that participate:

  • Banquet
  • Healthy Choice
  • Peter Pan
  • Orville Redenbacher's
  • Marie Callender's
  • Chef Boyardee
  • Hunt's
  • Snack Pack
  • Hunt's MANWICH
  • Kid Cuisine
  • Crunch 'n Munch
  • Rosarita
  • Van Camp's
  • Wolf Brand Chili
  • Blue Bonnet
  • Egg Beaters
  • PAM
  • Reddi Whip
  • Ultra Grain
No extra money from your pocket, just simply look for the code on the packages of participating brands, and take the time (maybe 3 minutes) from your day to go to and enter your code. Remember that 1 code = 1 meal. Don't forget to enter your zip code to help out a local food bank. Please help us and so many others fight child hunger across America.
                                                            Until next time, God bless!
